A face oil that doesn't feel like one. It glides on, then dries down in about a minute to a weightless, non-greasy finish, light enough for oily and blemish-prone skin. Blue tansy and bisabolol help reduce the appearance of redness, while manuka and jojoba condition skin without weighing it down.

It's the balm's lighter partner. It's blue because of the tansy, and no, it won't turn you blue.

How to use

Press 2–3 drops into freshly washed skin, morning or night. Give it about a minute to dry down. On dry days, mix one drop into a little Tallow Balm.

Why these ingredients

BLUE TANSY OIL

The source of the blue. Its color comes from chamazulene. It's also why blue tansy is known for a calming feel on skin.

BISABOLOL

A plant-derived calming ingredient, best known from chamomile. Paired with blue tansy, it helps reduce the look of redness.

MANUKA OIL

Not the honey. This oil comes from the leaves and branches of the same New Zealand tree the bees visit, and it's rarely used in skincare. It's part of why this oil suits blemish-prone skin.

JOJOBA OIL

Technically a liquid wax, not an oil, which is why it feels light instead of heavy. We use a decolorized version so the blue stays blue.

SQUALANE + MEADOWFOAM SEED OIL

Light, very stable, and softening.

C13-15 ALKANE + CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE

The reason it dries so fast. The alkane is ultra-light and sets in about a minute, leaving a featherlight finish instead of an oily one.

VITAMIN E + ROSEMARY EXTRACT

These look after the formula, not your skin. The blue pigment fades in light, and they help it stay bright and slow the oils from going stale.

Questions

Will it turn my skin blue?

No. A few drops press in clear.

Does it have a scent?

What you smell is the blue tansy and manuka themselves: bright at first, then herbal and woody. It fades as the oil dries down.

Can I use it with the balm?

Yes. Use them on different spots, or mix one drop of oil into a little balm on dry days.

How long does a bottle last?

Use it within 6 months of opening, and keep it out of direct sun.
