Why it feels different

Satin, not shine.

It melts on contact and dries down to a satin finish that looks like skin, not a coat of balm.

Balanced, not just rich.

Tallow is rich but short on linoleic acid. High-linoleic sunflower oil fills the gap, which is part of why it feels lighter than you'd expect from tallow.

Unscented, on purpose.

One jar the whole family can share.

Tallow Balm on a sunny windowsill

“I’d rather use fewer things and actually know what’s in them.”

I started iuvo labs in 2019, then pressed pause. I never stopped researching. More than a dozen versions later, I came back with a tallow balm that finally has the finish I was after, made in my small lab in Phoenix.

Questions

What does “satin finish” mean?

It's the space between shiny and powdery: a soft, low-sheen finish that just looks like moisturized skin.

Is it greasy?

Not when you use the right amount. It's dense in the jar and melts on contact. Warm a small amount between your fingertips and press it in; a little goes a long way.

How does the presale work?

You order now, we make the batch, and it ships by November 23. There are 100 balms in each size, 100 oils and 100 sets. Cancel any time before it ships for a full refund.
